Willow DuPage Baptizes Eight People

Two months after a June Baptism at Willow DuPage when more than 20 people went public with their faith, 8 more Creekers were baptized. Following the service, the church family celebrated together in the Atrium over fresh, hot cinammon rolls.

Willow DuPage Meets The Lorax

On Friday, August 17, nearly 300 family and friends from Willow DuPage headed to Reed Kepler Park in West Chicago for the church’s first outdoor movie night. Kids played on an inflatable jumpy castle and waved glow sticks before the movie began and people enjoyed popcorn and cotton candy as they watched Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax from their seats in folding chairs and on blankets. This was the first event held in partnership with the West Chicago Park District and the church hopes to build on this in the future.

Just Walk Across the Room Training

Willow DuPage offered the accelerated Just Walk Across the Room training at their campus on Sunday evenings, August 19 and 26. Exactly 100 people signed up (75 adults and 25 children) to build their evangelism muscle. “I’m so proud of our church,” says Interim Pastor Reece Whitehead. “When 100 people show up to learn to share their faith, it means they have a heart to share their faith. That kind of passion to reach others for Christ is foundational to the church.”
