Did you know that PromiseTowne provides care for Willow Creek and WCA staff children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews ages 6 weeks old through the time a child enters Kindergarten, (5-6 years old)? And we provide half day or full day care on Tuesdays through Fridays, 8:30-4:30pm. We absolutely love to nurture and teach children in a Christian environment through a creative early childhood, child-centered curriculum!
So really why is it so FUN? The biggest telltale sign that PTowne is a fun place to be is the anticipation of each day. Many of the children run down the hallway, excited to see their friends and teachers each morning, eagerly anticipating the activities for the day!
Each day, children have the opportunity to explore, learn and grow in all areas of development – spiritual, cognitive,social-emotional, language, pre-literacy/pre-math, fine and gross motor, and creative expression. The children are provided with a wide variety of developmentally appropriate learning experiences throughout the year that are engaging, stimulating and of course a blast! And moreso, we foster a strong family partnership through open communication and an open invitation for parents to visit unannounced at any point during the day.
And so why do the staff love what they get to do day in and day out? Currently, we have 8 permanent staff, 4 substitute staff, and one open assistant teacher position in the Toddler classroom (ages 16 months – 3 years old), and in our opinion, there is no more rewarding job in all the church than being able to partner with the wider Willow staff family! Because we have the opportunity to use our gifts and talents to give just a little bit back to each PromiseTowne staff family as a “thank you” for all of the hard work that they each do every week to impact our Willow church community, the broader community and the world!
It’s critically important that parents know and trust that they can do their day’s work with their mind at ease that their child/children are loved, well cared for and in an “on-site”, world class facility! Through teaching, guiding, nurturing and encouragement, the children see the families and teachers partnering together to build a firm foundation in the development of the “whole child”.
We do have a challege however. Currently, we are in need of an assistant teacher in the Toddler age group. We strive for consistency in staffing in order to build strong relationships between the children, families and caregivers. It is our goal to have each position filled with highly qualified, fantastic fits who have strong skills of caring for and educating young children at the same time.
