The best-selling book Heaven Is for Real is now a movie and Willow staff has been invited to attend a special screening at 7 p.m. at the AMC South Barrington theaters on Thursday, February 13. (Each staff member may bring a non-staff guest.)
Heaven Is for Real tells one family’s story about Heaven and the impact is has on their community—and the world. The Burpos are the picture of a small-town family in America: mom, dad, daughter, and son. Young Colton and his dad are inseparable until an illness lands Colton in the hospital. Fearing they will lose their son, his parents cry out to God to spare him. While Colton’s amazing recovery should lead his family back to normalcy, they quickly discover nothing will ever be the same. With childlike innocence, Colton begins talking about visiting Heaven and his incredible experiences there—including meeting family members he never even knew about.
Coming to theaters this Easter, Heaven Is for Real stars Greg Kinnear, Kelly Reilly,Margo Martindale, Thomas Haden Church, and Connor Corum as Colton. The movie is directed by Academy Award ® nominee Randall Wallace (original screenplay for Braveheart) with the screenplay by Randall Wallace and Christopher Parker.
