Free Apple Charger Replacement if Damaged

0

If you use an Apple laptop at work or at home, you should know that Apple is offering free replacements for their MagSafe laptop chargers. Older versions were prone to fraying, especially at the end where it plugs into the computer. If your charger is damaged*, you can take the charger and laptop into an Apple store to get a free replacement. The computer does not need to be in warranty to get a replacement charger, but they will ask to see the laptop the charger came with for testing.
Also, if you or your ministry has paid for a replacement charger from Apple due to this problem, Apple is offering a reimbursement based on the age of the charger and number of replacements purchased. You may get more information at this website: https://www.adaptersettlement.com/FAQ.aspx#q11
The deadline for a refund is March 21, 2012.
*Damage means fraying, melting, sparking, weakening, discoloration, bubbling, overheating.
